One more bend in the road

We'll be going back to the doctor.
Tonight we discovered that S had a reaction to her flu shot. The shot area is red, swollen and hot. The affected area is about three inches in diameter. Pretty darn big.
I called the nurse hot line and was told she would need to be seen by her doctor.
This is such a surprise because she has never had a reaction to a flu shot! Perhaps it's because we've been battling colds here. She doesn't have any cold symptoms though, other than the pink eye (which has cleared up) and the ear infection (which was still present at her wellness check on Wednesday.)
I just pray that this is nothing serious and that she will still be well protected from the flu.
